Dan and Laura Millward are both native Detroiters. After a successful career in Floor Covering Retail they were called to serve the Lord in full time ministry. They first served with Youth For Christ and after five years of fruitful work there went on to Reformed Theological Seminary. After seminary they were called to serve in Traverse City, Michigan as Church Planters.
Now, after nine years of faithful ministry at Redeemer Presbyterian Church in Traverse City, Dan and Laura are joining the Detroit Project. Their mission is to plant a PCA church in Midtown Detroit toward the southern end of the Woodward Avenue Corridor. This work will coordinate with the current church plant in Royal Oak which is led by Rev Ryan McVicar and his family.
The Detroit Project is a vision to establish Biblically faithful, outward facing, mission minded churches at the Northern and Southern ends of the Woodward Corridor, from Royal Oak to Downtown. Detroit is the largest city in the United States without a PCA church and is a strategic location for ministry for the state of Michigan. As Detroit recovers from economic and social adversity, this is an opportunity to extend Christ’s Kingdom in this important region.
