Pastor Klett was born and raised in Hopewell, NJ a small historic town near Princeton. After receiving a Bachelor’s degree in political science he attended Westminster Seminary in Philadelphia where he received his Master of Divinity. He and his wife Laurie were married in 1988 and they soon moved to NJ where he served in two PCA churches on the coast, the first as an Associate for five years and then as Senior Pastor for ten years. Ken and Laurie have seven children, Faith, Leah, Susannah, Abby, Kenneth, Jonathan and Nathaniel.
Pastor Klett came to Covenant in the summer of 2006 and serves the church in the ministry of the Word along with the other aspects of pastoral ministry.
Associate Pastor, Hans Deutschmann
Hans emigrated from Germany in 1958 and was raised in Wisconsin. After serving with the U.S. Army, he obtained his MA from the University of Wisconsin. He and his wife Gretchen were married in 1971 and then he taught school in Wisconsin. Desiring to know God and His Word better, he attended Covenant Theological Seminary. Graduating with a M.Div. in 1980, He served as pastor, teacher, youth leader, and counselor at Cono Christian School in Iowa until 2000.
Sensing an urgency to share the Gospel with the Czech people, He and his wife served with Mission to the World for over 12 years. They retired from MTW at the end of 2012, and he is now serving as part time associate pastor of Covenant.
The Deutschmanns have six adult children and 11 grandchildren.
